NIOS On-Demand Admission

For Secondary and Senior Secondary, the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) provides an On-Demand Examination (ODE). With the idea of a flexible time frame and remote learning in mind, it was launched in 2003. Students may save a year by taking this test and preparing for the secondary and senior secondary examinations. Candidates have the option of taking the admission at a time when they are psychologically prepared.

On-Demand NIOS Admission Details

You may apply for the NIOS on demand admission at any time of the year using this exam. It’s divided into two halves, as follows:

Stream 1 (Secondary Level)

This exam is for students who attempted the public exam but did not pass or were unable to take the exam due to illness or other circumstances. If a student has already completed the 10th grade but wants to further their education, they may enrol in one or more topics that will count toward their overall grade.

Stream 2 (Senior Secondary Level)

One or up to four topics can be taken by students who have passed their high school exams with a recognised board. This exam is also open to students who took the public exam but didn’t pass or were unable to take the exam due to illness or other circumstances.

Only English and Hindi mediums are used for exams. It is permitted, however, for students to answer questions in their native language as well. Students, on the other hand, will not be given questions in any regional dialect.

NIOS On-Demand Exam Eligibility Requirements

For 10th Grade

• Students must be 14 years old or older to sit for the secondary level examinations.
• A student is qualified to take the exam if they have prepared for secondary examinations but have not finished them or want to improve their performance.
• Self-certifications of “I have studied enough to be eligible for secondary school entrance” are accepted.

For 12th Grade

• Students must be at least 15 years old in order to apply for the senior secondary test.
• To sit for the Senior Secondary Exam, one must simply have finished secondary school via a recognised institution.

NIOS On Demand Exam Fees

Secondary Section

• Each subject’s exam costs Rs. 500/-. Students must pay Rs. 200/- for each practical exam if the subject has one.
• Credit card, net banking and debit card payment options are available for exam fees.
• There may also be costs for registration, the TOC, an extra subject and other such things.

Senior Secondary Section

• An additional fee of Rs. 200/- must be paid by students who want to take the NIOS on-demand exam at the Senior Secondary level.
• Net banking, credit/debit cards and other methods of electronic payment are available to students.

NIOS On Demand Result

• https://results.nios.ac.in/ is the website where exam results are posted.
• Students may expect to get their test results in around 45 days.

Candidates who successfully complete the exam will be provided with a certificate of completion and other supporting documentation.
