NIOS Admission
The NIOS Stream-1 Admission is available for all the candidates aged 14 years for Secondary and 15 Years for Senior Secondary.
Any student who has studied at the secondary level and wants to complete his/her course or improve the performance can get admission to the Stream-1. Also, if a student is giving a self-certificate mentioning “I have studied enough to be able to pursue secondary course”, he/she can get admission to this course.
For Admission in Senior Secondary, the student must have passed his/her secondary class from a recognized school. The mark sheet will be required while admission.
The students will be able to sit in the private examinations and get their 10th or 12th class passed easily. No need to get admission into regular schooling. If you think you can do your studies by yourself, you are good to go.
Documents Required For Admission in Secondary

In order to get admission to NIOS Stream-1 in 10th Class, below are the important documents you should have.
- Aadhar Card (Valid Identity, Date of Birth, and Address Proof).
- Recent Passport size color photograph.
- Signature (With Black ink).
- A transfer certificate of last class studied in any school.
- Birth Certificate (Having name, Date of Birth, and all other important details mentioning on it).
Documents Required For Admission in Senior Secondary
Below are the documents required to get admission to Senior Secondary class in NIOS Stream-1.
- Aadhar Card (Valid Identity, Date of Birth, and Address Proof).
- Recent Passport size color photograph.
- Signature (With Black ink).
- 10th Class Marksheet
- Fail Marksheet of the last Board. Transfer of Credit marks will not be updated in the NIOS results.
